Mother Saraswati, lovingly called Jagadamba Maa and Mamma, was the First Administrative Head of Brahma Kumaris. Known as the Goddess of Wisdom, she played a pivotal role in the organization's foundation.

A Multifaceted Personality

Mamma was known by many names like Kamdhenu, Adi Shakti, and Saraswati. She embodied both the courage of Kali and the gentle grace of Sheetala Devi, spiritually elevating everyone who met her.

Early Life and Intelligence

Born as Radha around 1920 in Amritsar, Mamma was exceptionally intelligent and farsighted. Her memory power was so strong, she had to hear anything only once to get it imprinted.

Spreading Godly Knowledge

Mamma absorbed the Godly knowledge revealed through Prajapita Brahma and embodied it. Her powerful words liberated listeners from body-consciousness, helping them experience God's love.

Simplifying Deep Philosophies

Mamma made God's knowledge and the deep philosophy of Karma easy to understand. Her sweet, wise words and simple living, high thinking reflected her divine nature.

Radiating Love & Wisdom

Mamma’s spiritual drishti emanated vibrations of love, making everyone feel God's presence. She advised, "Accept corrections with love; they are helpful." Her words were filled with wisdom and love.

Mamma's Guidance

To become perfect, Mamma said, “Consider every moment as the last moment.” Sweet and fearless, she said, “With God on our side, whom should we fear? Only the sinners live in fear.”

Living by Example

Mamma always focused on personal efforts, saying, “Others will follow our actions.” She taught to ignore others' flaws and appreciate their virtues.

A Lasting Legacy

All through her life, Mamma lived & shared Godly knowledge and teachings and reached her stage of perfection on June 24, 1965, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom and spiritual love.
